Any good attorney can explain to you the broad powers a governor has “at common law” to act during a pandemic. See Martinko v. Whitmer case no. 20-00062-MM in front of The Honorable Christopher M. Murray in State of Michigan Court of Claims, the decision was handed down on April 23, 2020.
Stop the politics, Mike Shirkey and Lee Chatfield should be working closely with the Governor and be speaking in one voice for Michigan citizens. That is what Michigan citizens NEED today, one voice.
Due to their lack of understanding of economic history, Mr. Shirkey and Mr. Chatfield do not have a clue of the coming economic situation facing the citizens of the state of Michigan. I earned a graduate degree in Austrian Economics from Walsh College.
I see this action as all politics. Let us rebuild Michigan instead and stop the politics.
