Evolution of AMD Processors | History of AMD Processors | AMD Evolution | AMD history

AMD is the second-largest supplier and the only significant rival to Intel in the CPU market. Founded in 1969 as a Silicon Valley start-up, AMD is the only company in the world that has both high-performance GPU and CPU technology.

In this video, let's take a look through AMD's history in the CPU market over the years, starting from AMD's first microprocessor, the Am9080 which released in 1975 to their latest high end desktop processor, the Ryzen 9 which released in 2019.

Which AMD processor are you currently using ? Or are you an Intel user? Let us know in the comments section below.

The Fact AMD went silent between 2011 and 2017 shows they needed to re-do some things and hell they came back smashing.

Amd: Moving to 5 nm
Intel: Moving to 22nm... 14nm was too much for them.

I love how amd was making computers more affordable since the 90s compare to gold digger Intel

Intel was the Apple of processors, and we didn't even realize that as kids, too expensive, being late to bring some new things like 1Ghz, 7nm, etc.

As my professor said: "AMD is always going to be a better product because they focus on the product itself, not in the crappy marketing and advertisement".

"Intel was forced by IBM to license its technology to AMD because IBM wanted at least two CPU suppliers" so, thats the dawn of Intel.

impressive to see that amd always was the one introducing new tecnologies. first 1 ghz processor, first 64 bits processor, first 32, 48 and 64 cores, not to mention that they always tried bringing more cores to the mainstream like they are doing today with the first 6, 8, 12 and 16 cores mainstream processors. while intel was keeping the market at a shit dual to quad core processors. thanks amd!

Don't pity Intel
Intel been busy Milking the Market dry by any means possible for years

I was one of the victim

"you don't need more than 4 cores",
"Intel wins on Gaming benchmarks",
I'm very ashamed i said that,

no more.
