Back in 1980, I fell in love for the first time. He was a wonderful and charismatic young man named Scott Swanson. He liked me as a friend, but I was utterly under his spell and loved him with all my heart. This was our song. In late November of 1981, he was in a serious home accident. His face and arms were horribly burned, down to the bone with his arms. On Dec. 5, 1981, at the 21, he died. I was in the hospital room and did the impossible for me, I said goodbye, I told him he could go, leave me behind, and move on. As I rode down the elevator holding his hospital gown to my face to dry my tears, the elevator played this, "Somewhere a Place for Us." I took it as a sign he was OK in his new place. More than 40 years have passed and I still visit his grave to place yellow roses and think of him. This is the best rendition I've ever heard. It brought tears to my face again after all this time.

i've been following Stephen Barry for many years now. His voice is incredible; on par with Josh Groban and other greats. Why no one has given him a contract yet is beyond me. For those that don't like this type of music, at least acknowledge that this man has a powerhouse of a voice and for that, he should be recognized and get the golden buzzer...and a contract.
