I grew up in Atlantic Beach NY 67-86!!!
The Catalina Beach Club is that blue/white club, it was down the street from my house.
The bungalows were in Long Beach.
Long Beach was awesome.
Chaunceys Bar.
West End was the place.
Awesome to see my old hometown used for filming.
Great place to grow up....
Summers were the bomb.
Worked at the Atlantic Beach Bridge throughout my HS years 79-84.
So many places in this movie bring back alot of great memories 🥰👍👍

I loved this movie definitely gave me an 80s vibe mostly for the clothes and music. The 80s are back so maybe that’s why others didn’t feel it was 80s enough but having grown up through this era it did. I did wonder though was the drinking age 18 in 82? I was only 13 so don’t remember.

someone needs to help edward burns make the script more believable. just one example: near the opening a guy sees a girl he hasn't seen in a long time, clarifies that she got married but just leaves without any further interest. i know it's about shallow teenagers, but still...
