The North Korean Goose Stepping (Hell March)

Показать описание
#shorts #northkorea #Goosestep #hellmarch
Metal tips and heel plates on boots ring out in unison, and the troops look more like they're bouncing than marching as they spring forward.
Originated in the 18th century, it is called goose-stepping, and was favored by despots like Hitler, Mussolini, Mao and Stalin, but North Korea is the last one to perform a full-fledged version of it. It was intended to intimidate the enemy by showing discipline, devotion, and power, but I mean, we all know it is just a propaganda show.
Goose-stepping is extremely difficult to perform and requires months of intense training. It is punishing on the body, and may cause serious back, leg, and knee injuries. Paraders are from military academies or elite army units, and are selected based on loyalty to the government, family background, and height.
And don’t be mistaken! It is a privilege to goose-step in front of the leader because it guarantees speedy promotion and higher social standing.
