The DJI MINI 2 has been out for a while now, and we all love this tiny little drone, but there's a new boss in town...
The brand new DJI AIR 2S is in my opinion the best drone DJI ever made, in terms of video quality, but there is a 700$ price difference between these 2 drones, can you tell the difference ? And also, do you think there is a 700$ dollar difference between these two drones?

Richer color on the Mini 2 but image is clearer on the Air 2S.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I’ve been thinking about upgrading to the air 2S and watching comparison videos but all of them seem to just cover the specs and features. I wanted to see the ungraded and graded footage compared. It would be awesome if you could do a nighttime comparison since that’s when the 1”sensor will really shine

Lovely comparison - while I think the Mini 2 looks amazing - when you compare them side by side there's an obvious blocking effect by the codec on details like grass or small tree branches. Mini 2 is softer but also over sharpened a bit to compensate. But not sure the price difference is worth it between the two. There's definitely a place for both depending the production you need. For a one man band travel cinematography the mini rocks - for a production company the extra sharpness, resolution, color profiles and overall flexibility plus flying speed active track etc should be worth it.

I recognized the difference in all the cases. The Air 2 S looks pretty good! I have a Mini 2 and will save up for the Air 2 S. In the meantime I have a lot to learn to improve the videos on my channel. Thanks for the hard work on the comparison.

There's an evident difference in color quality but Air 2S has the DLog option that makes it better.

Definitely sharper image on 2S. Just like compering professional camera with mobile phones. Also, sensor size makes difference. Great video!

A mio parere, il Mini 2 coglie meno dettagli ma offre colori più vivaci. Adatto a chi non ha tempo/voglia di lavorare troppo per migliorare l'immagine in post. L'Air 2 S ha una qualità d'immagine pazzesca con colori "più reali", perfetto per lavorare in post.
Poi chiaro, hanno due sensori molto diversi...

The difference in colors and exposure are visible, Air 2S is more toned-down, cooler. I was right every time in side-by-side vids. But it's nothing that couldn't be corrected in post-processing imo. For the picture quality only, I see no huge difference, not worth $700 for sure.
