China's success in controlling COVID-19 under threat as Nanjing cluster spreads to other cities

China has placed hundreds of thousands of people in lockdown as it battles a rapidly spreading COVID-19 outbreak. Infections linked to a cluster in Nanjing have now reached five provinces and Beijing. The outbreak has been described as China's most extensive outbreak since Wuhan. It started with nine cleaners at Nanjing airport, who tested positive on July 20. Since then, the city has reported 184 infections. 206 cases nationwide are now linked to the cluster. The authorities have blamed the more infectious Delta variant for the spread.

Don't worry they have Sinovac that effectiveness is above 90%. They have 95 % Vaccination.

I don't think zero covid is possible.
It's spreading in air, so only way to fight is speed up the vaccination.
To save the travel industry allow passengers with negative pcr that one criteria is enough. I don't think any other way to manage this suituation.

Sadly every nation have under estimate the behaviour of the delta variant. CDC and WHO already send alarm bells. What is scary is there is now no difference in transmissionbility factor between vaccinated and unvaccinated. Only difference vaccinated has lower mortality rate. In addition, transmissiom factor is like 4 to 5 times more infection. Original virus say 40 to 50 infected per day is now seeing 160 to 200 cases per day with the delta which is what we see in our own country.
