My family are big fans of the Philly sound and artists like
Ojays, Jones girls, Patti Labelle, Teddy Pendergrass/HM and The Blue Notes, Jean Carne, Jacksons, Mfsb, Three degrees, Dexter Wansel, Phyllis hyman, Billy Paul Ebonys, Lou Rawls and Intruders
Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff were behind those hits also John Whitehead, Victor Carstarphen, and Gene McFadden Bunny Sigler Thom Bell were PIR's Producers
That's how you have the music from the city of Brotherly love.

Nice but that box seems so incomplete. Yes, there will probably be another 5 boxes for Philadelphia International Records. Last year, I purchased a cool P.I.R. single LP sampler featuring 12 killer songs. Gonna sit out the boxes and get albums I want.

Discogs prices are already over $700 and going up. That's more than double what VMP sold them for. Why do these companies only press such a small number of these?
