How Long do Breast Implants Last?

How long do breast implants last? Well, the old wisdom used to be that they used to last for 10 years, but really they can last for a lot longer than that, particularly with some of these newer implants which I'll talk about in a second. A lot can happen within 10 years. So you may have your implants before kids, decide to have a couple of kids, and the relationship between the implant and your breast changes. And at that point you might need a lift, or you might want a slightly larger implant. That's the most common cause, not often because of the implants having a problem. These newer implants, and this is a Motiva Ergonomix implant, they look and feel a lot nicer than the other implants. They also have a much lower rate of capsular contracture, as well as problems with implant rupture. They even have little radio frequency chips on the inside here so we can always sorta scan your breast and find out exactly the type of implant that you've got. So all in all, fantastic new implants. If you've had implants there for a long time, maybe the relationship between your implant and the breast has changed, or maybe you just want a different sort of implant, a bigger or a smaller one, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm more than happy to answer any of your questions.
