Silly question, but how often do you test lead content?

I believe you want to start with a larger pipe, add a pressure tank on the 300 level, change to a smaller pipe from 1st pressure tank to a 2nd larger pressure tank at the top, add a heated pump room, add 3 levels of filters with cut off/ bypass valves for service add a UV light for bacteria add a bib spot and down to town. I have a detailed diagram complete with a part list and instructions.

I would build a ram pump to send water to the surface to a storage tank above the town to act as a water tower

Reckon the plastic floatable is best to have in the drinking water constantly?

You need a larger pump !!! That motor size is incredibly to small for that distance. Yeah, it will work but not without issues over time. You should use a different style pump to bring it up to a storage tank, then a 2nd pump for your actual supply.

I'm curious about how this water is filtered and treated, to remove the heavy metals and toxic minerals that leach into it during transit through the mountain.

I'm imagining that federal authorities will be seeking assurances, before paying customers residing at guest facilities in the town may be exposed to contaminants from water extracted from the mine?
