London mayor Boris Johnson has taken a tumble in a charity tug of war in London. Mr Johnson and members of the armed forces were taking part in the traditional event to launch London Poppy Day - with the mayor leading from the front for his team. It is the latest in a series of sporting mishaps to befall the mayor who has become renowned for throwing himself into such events.
