Thanks for posting, Van! Wood spirits are fun. Got bored at work the other night, (3rd shift security guard), found a small pine branch, took my dull pocket knife and went to whittlin', lol. I also do them on pencils.

I make them and stick them along trails during a hike. I like to think people enjoy finding them, or they just set forever. Both outcomes please me.😁

very much enjoying the face and parts of the face series. i've shied away from making carvings with eyes.... the expressions, the ears. mouth, teeth. i've been too scared to. hiding that stuff under hats and beards. but now, i'm diving in. thanks!

Van kelly . There's something nostalgic and therapeutic whipping out my barlow pocket knife and carving things I can't afford the fancy tools you has I also use a swiss army knife you can get a scary sharp edge on them ideal for whittling nice job I subscribe greetings from uk 👍🇬🇧🦊🐾

Van thank for sharing this video I’m going to try that little wood spirit one day all my carving tools are flex cut and I just got a set of micro flex cut I have not use the micro tools yet but I’m going to and I got 3 more flex cut knives also I have use the first set and I like them my first carving was a wood spirit on a cypress wood not bad to carve thank you once again for your video
