Credit Repair Scam - Credit Repair Companies are buying fake testimonials.
Why are credit repair companies buying testimonials if they are providing a good service to their clients? I can't speak for all of them, but the ones that I've looked into are either newer companies starting out, or they are trying to hide all of their negative reviews online. Credit Repair companies are governed by very strict laws called the Credit Repair Organizations Act. They must be in full compliance of these laws or they will get fined and can be closed down by the government. These companies are using these testimonials to entice new customers to trust them and go with their service even though they are not providing a valuable Credit Repair service.
There have been many Credit Repair Scams in the past, but this by far, one of the most offensive. These testimonials are coming from actors that are being paid $5 to read a script about these companies.
If you are looking for a Credit Repair, Credit Restoration, Debt Settlement, or Debt Consolidation Company, make sure you look at their Better Business Bureau Rating Online (Most Credit Repair Companies have an F rating with the BBB).
