Labour MPs have blocked an attempt to initiate a national inquiry into grooming gangs.

The amendment put forward by Conservative MPs which would have piled pressure on the Government to hold a statutory inquiry into historic child sexual exploitation was voted down by 364 to 111.

No10 said the amendment would “kill the bill”, with Sir Keir Starmer saying on Wednesday that victims wanted “action now, not the delay of a further inquiry”.

It comes after revelations that Jess Phillips refused to fund an inquiry into historical child sexual abuse in Oldham despite a request from the town’s council.

Kemi Badenoch said that voters would fear a “cover up” if the Government did not order an inquiry at a national level.

Starmer refused to act all those years. Will they finally directly confront the Muslim communities about their criminal young men?

In 2013 Keir Starmer was busy prosecuting Chris Huhne and Vicky Price for a Speeding fine.

Together with the musIim independents, the Labour government voted against the inquiry. WHY ARE OUR ENEMIES ALLOWED TO BE IN OUR PARLIAMENT? and WHY DO ALLOW OUR ENEMIES TO HAVE A VOTE TO LET THEM IN?

choice. He could have led the inquiry and now he's going to let others handle it. This is too big, and the truth will come out. We will find out what he's trying so hard to hide.

Never in my life thought somebody would destroy their own country this way in such a little time. Its impresive in a dystopian 1984 way
