Its very similar to "tilkut" in india. Instead of peanuts we use sesame seeds coarsely ground. Either plain sugar or jaggery is made into thick syrup and beaten along with the powder.
This version with roasted peanut powder is also made at our place and called gajjak or patti.

In America it is called Chick-O-Stiks. You can buy them at stores. They're delicious! ❤
