Money Matters is a series where I have conversations with normal people such as you and I, on your personal finance issues.

It is important to note that I am NOT a financial expert, I am NOT SEBI registered, and I am NOT qualified to give financial advice.

Everything that I say in these videos is purely through my own experiences.

- So these videos do not offer any stock tips, or specific mutual fund recommendations or get-rich-quick schemes.
- I am not selling any product or service through these videos.
- None of the brands that I mention in these videos have paid me to mention them, unless I explicitly say so (and I will say if the video is sponsored).

This also means that my advice may not always be the right advice. So incase I make a mistake, the best way to correct me will be to share your point of view in the comments, so that everyone can benefit from it.

I am not perfect, nor claiming to be either and would love to learn and grow.

The idea is simply to help people with their finance journey and through their story try to help others who may have a similar story.

Join us for another episode of the "Money Matters" series. In today's episode, we have with us Raghavendra from Chennai. This episode is different from the other Money Matters episodes so far. We do not use the Excel sheet or talk about numbers in the video but it is filled with teachings which the Excel sheet could not have taught. Tune in to the video to find out.

00:00 Introduction
01:17 About Raghavendra
04:03 Raghavendra's story
21:18 3 things to learn

A hell of an episode, courage would be a small word here. I would also like to highlight the role of HIS FRIEND, giving 12 Lakhs to a friend where most likely you could not get it back in today's world is just beyond anything! HUGE RESPECT FOR HIM

To all the people who says he speaks fast, just to let you know - when a person is under severe depression, he/she tends to speak very fast and changes thoughts very frequently. I am not a doctor, but I have been there and it took me a decade to understand a lot of things. It's a dark place to be and I hope people understand that.

Ankur, Please help this guys whether its offline, please do it. Whatever it may be but do it, whether its coaching or just being with him there to guide on finance or anything. He really need help and his inner soul screaming that for the help. I completely understand that we all went through a complete rollercoaster ride with the emotions by listening to his story and me as well writing this with stone on my heart and teared eyes. He seriously need a good friend like us who can help him understand and slow down in his life and specially on mind level, thought-wise. I wish for him that he gets all the success he need. But please get in touch with him. I know he is a fighter but still we need to think practically and give him help he need.

Ankur Sir, thank you for not just doing financial planning for various situations but also giving in life lessons through such videos..every day, I wake up with worries and anxieties about life..that too with the 3 points of this video..never have I ever been able to rightfully value that of a parent especially me being a parent today..and being lost out of hopelessness when it comes to career, job, finances, handling relationships..but this video just opened my eyes in knowing that we’re not alone in this world and need to take a leaf out from raghavendra bro’s story..thank you ankur sir for instilling positivity and goodness..

Oh my God!
What an episode, such an intellectual person that Raghavendra is, all of us go through this one time or the other due to the situations & people around you sometimes mainly your own family members, even if one is not showy or spendthrift, he will surely bounce back in either the corporate world or the filmy world, but my advise is as there is not much time left it's better to tread a safer & known path ie the corporate world,

Also as Ankur rightly said parents value will not be known until the time they are not around,

What an emotional episode could not stop crying while watching it,

God bless & let wisdom & patience prevail to one & all,

The way Raghvendra shared his story so openly,
The way his father inspired and guided with full faith in him,
And the way you handle the situation with empathy and compassion.. it’s so commendable.
A very emotional episode!😢

Wow powerful lessons.
1. Appreciate your parents, Celebrate them while they're here.
2. Do not rely on too many works at a single point of time. Focus on one and slowly invest on the side hustle.
3. If you have a person who has undying trust and hope in you, never ever hurt them or leave them. They're your best investment!

Loved this episode for it's valuable lessons. It has actually stepped in at the right moment and made me stop from making a bad financial decision. Thank you Ankur & Raghavendra.

I lost my dad 1 month to this date. I can tell you the biggest turning point in my life as a son will be when my dad told me that he trust me to take care of everything and everyone he loved. Knowing that my dad trusts me is my hope to keep living everyday. I hope everyone gets to feel this. Mad respect to you Raghavendra, I'm sure your dad is proud of the fight you're putting up brother.

In spite of undergoing adversities, Raghavendra Ji still has that spark in his eyes and is a "go to person" and of course "unstoppable"

Hi @Ankur, I really appreciate you that you understood the situation and took the opportunity to end the call on a high note. I can totally resonate the vibe and emotions in this call as I lost my dad when I was 20 and my mom when I turned 28 I was going through emotional refluxes during my 20s when my mom had to be treated for her cancer. Thought I am losing my precious 20s but at this point I can proudly say that I have zero regrets because I have my time to my parents. I double down on the point where people doubt on themselves and need atleast one person to believe in you I don't have anyone and that's a shit state to be in but one thing which has always been good is that I practiced focusing on myself right from childhood. My inner voice has been my gaurdian so far and now I'm realising that it's a special gift to possess. Self regulation, discipline and love is what my companion is today and a beacon of hope. Much love for this episode to remind the real life struggles and what actually is valuable. 🙌

It was one hard episode to go through. Ankur Breaking down hearing a story shattered me. What Raghavendra has many people dont. A father's blessing. More power to all who are blessed with parents.. and empathy for the ones who don't have this beautiful bond. Keep inspiring Ankur 💥💪🏻
