jacks *savages* start as 'the choir' and simon was apart of the choir but was rejected as he often fainted and was considered weak because of his benevolent and kind nature, he says when the boys are talking about 'the beast', "maybe its only us" which is the main theme that golding is writing about in the novel

I read this book around 1972 (16 y/o) & found it scary as hell. The only other book to really scare me was Healter Skelter; about Charles Manson.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a movie with similar themes and connecting idea, that i could compare to lord of the flies? I need to write a 2000 word comparative essay comparing lord of the flies to a movie based upon a connecting idea that links the two texts together and i have no idea what movie i should compare.
