I've been playing golf for 35 years. " Hammering the nail" is a great tip to keep eye onto the ball at impact. Thank you so much Alex Forte! - from California.

This was a game changer! This saved me 15+ strokes. I look at how I hit the ball now with a completley different approach. My friends are going down! You sir have earned a sub and a thumbs up!😂😂😂

For whatever reason, this visual made more sense to me that anything else. I am excited to get out on the range and practice this.

Hammering the nail, I like that concept. Alex you are an excellent teacher. Very concise, and good at explaining and the title of your vlog is very appropriate too. The Art of Simple Golf, I also like that subject and it ties together with all your lessons. Other channels get to technical and chatty and makes it more difficult that what it has to be, Golf seems hard enough already. Enjoying all the videos. Thanks Alex. Excellent job. I'm working to learn how to hit a three quarter swing, having supple arms and using footwork and rotating to improve my game. Thanks, once again.

Good visualization! I watched several of your videos last night and went to the range today and also played par three, my ironwork was more consistent than ever!

Well I really have to throw my two cents worth in here. I watched this video half a dozen times this morning, there was something about this concept of hammering the back of the golf ball.
I took this to the practice range this morning and I hit solid iron shots one after another. I'm a senior golfer with a nine handicap, using range balls I normally will land my seven iron shots at the 150 yard mark.
This morning using this " hammering effect " my seven iron shots were landing over the 150 yard marker. Now I'm not saying this method has given me a big distance increase by any means. I will say that I definitely saw an increase of distance I would say 5-7 yards but what I was pleased with was the quality of the strike, , solid, absolutely solid, , thanks for posting Alex.

Great video. I hit my best iron shots when I focus on the back of the ball and follow through low to the ground to take a long shallow divot. I also make sure my hands are leading into impact and my grip is very light.

Hi Alex, I have a question about the analogy of swinging down at the ball. I think it's an easier thought to swing the clubface towards the target (like swinging a tennis racket towards and across the net) while focusing to strike the ground an inch in front of the ball, rather than swinging down towards the ball to create compression. Do you know what I mean? I find the thought of swinging down on the ball tends to have my clubface buried into the ground rather than having a slicing divot. It makes more sense to me to swing towards my target, like in tennis. Your kind comment and reply to my question, please. Thank you in advance.

Good. But kindly show the divot pic in this video.
I hit the centre of club and ball also flies but not getting consistent divots !

Imagine finding a golf instruction video without someone over-explaining everything and just keeping it simple.

Love that he is creating a swing thought based on a visualization. It is such a great baseline for self correction. Hit a lazy shank? Correct with your deliberate swing image.
