VINTAGE SHOPPING at The Factory Antique Mall | A VINTAGE VLOGMAS '21 DAY 25

Day 25 of a Vintage Vlogmas '21 & WE made it! For the last day of this experiment I did some VINTAGE SHOPPING at The Factory Antique Mall, where my booth space is located, the largest antique mall in America. I showed off a few of my favorite dealers in the FAM & I scored a couple of treasures along the way. Thank you for following along everyone! 🌺 That was so much fun!! Shop along videos are the Best. Especially for me, and I will tell you why. I have loved Antiques & Vintage ever since I can remember. My Grandmother who is 89 years old born & raised in York, Pennsylvania grew up on a large farm. Her Mother passed away when she was only 12 years old & her father passed when “Nana” was 15. Her older sister sold the family farm. So my Nana had to work & finish school with no support from family.
She was poor & treasured everything she was able to purchase for herself. I have several of her old scarf’s, hair comb’s, vanity set. That were some of her first purchases. So she has been collecting antiques for 87 years. I have two bedrooms full of it. She still loves Antique Stores, Thrifting, Estate Sales, Auction’s. I have learned from a very small age to appreciate antiques & just how Special they are. They tell a story in there markings, stamps, smell, & when I’m doing restoration work you strip layers of the past. To bring a Wardrobe new life another chance to show of its beauty, history, character.
I have read in “Architectural Design Magazine”. That 2023 🎉 All white is no longer the style. People don’t want there home to look like everyone else’s. Thrifting is back, Moody, Dark, Rich Paint Colors are back & going to stay. People want to show there uniqueness, they want Antiques & One of a Kind Pieces, Timeless Original Decor.
🥳 I was so excited to hear this because we need to teach our youth and future Thrifters & Pickers & Future Antique Dealer’s what we already know. Don’t throw it away, keep it if you can, but donate never throw it in the trash. Unless it’s actually garbage 🗑. Games, toys, clothing, furniture etc……… Will be Vintage someday. 😱 🍄 ♻️ 🌎 🌼

I found you a few weeks ago and have loved every minute. I’m a retired art teacher and we used to do an exercise where we had timed drawings, starting with 10 minutes and going down to one minute. It helps to get you out of your perfectionism and the drawings are so much better when you get out of your “head” and into your creativity. You’ve got the touch, Amanda!

I prefer your space over the ones you showed us. Your stuff is curated, so customers can in vision it in their home! You have form and function. A lot of unique stuff is fun to look at but it can just be clutter, dust collectors

Thank you for facing your fear of perfection and taking us along on your journey through your Vlogmas videos. I have that same problem, which I call it
“Paralysis by Analysis” for me. You showed us your tenacity, sense of humor, work ethic, strength, along with your artistic talent of putting it all together. I’m sure going to miss your daily videos. I live in California so am unable to visit your booth but just know if I’m ever in the area I will make an extra effort to stop by just to shop at your booth.

You are a natural communicator and designer and you will grow big because YouTube is all about the personalities and you got it all.
