Kidde Keybox Gutted and Explained- Hack The Planet

Today on Hack The Planet we will be gutting the Kidde Keybox to see why it is so easy to exploit. The sheer amount of plastic involved in this lock is depressing. Especially with that $30 price tag. if you insist on using a keybox, go with the rotary combo style which at least takes a minute to get into by a pro and a few minutes by an amateur. i seriously decoded this, removed it from the wall and took the locks its key protected in less than 60 seconds. There is nothing about thia lock that is secure. I've managed to shim it with a street sweeper bristle as well. i wouldn't recommend that method as it took two tools and about 3 minutes...
