I have a manual 981 GTS, drive it everyday, absolutely adore it. I was tempted by a 718 GT4 but couldn’t see the extra value other than having something newer 🤷‍♂️ the 981 is such a fantastic car and as others have said the car in sports plus with the exhaust valves open is one of the best sounding Porsches ever.

Loved my Cayman 981S. Looks even nicer with dark tinted rear lights like the GTS models. It gets even more beautiful the longer you own it and appreciate its proportions and curves.

Couple of years ago I bought a 996 gen 911 C4 but was a little overwhelmed by it, like you I wasn't looking for it but a 981 Cayman (not an S) came up for sale and once I'd driven it I immediately fell in love with it. Love my Cayman. Purchased 2016 Black Edition 4 months ago. Has sports exhaust, the GTS rear lights, and the same 20" wheels. Can't wait to see more videos.

Hi Sash, glad you are back. Love the 981 S, i have a 2015 Boxster GTS and when you activate the sport exhaust, there is no other car that sounds like it. By the way i love the Carrera S wheels, suit the car perfectly. Good luck with your mods!

I purchased a new 2014 Basic in U.S. Why? The dealership strongly advised if I weren't going to put it on a racetrack why the bigger engine. Great decision, I still have it and will never sell. It has dual exhaust, PDK, white exterior, black leather, 19" wheels (unfortunately we have deep road potholes), HK stero & a few other amenities. It has been a total gem (knock on wood). I have a 2021 BMW M440i Convertible and honestly, my eight year old Cayman drives / handles just like the day I drove out of the dealership. Point being, the BMW can't handle & measure up my Cayman. You may think I'm crazy, but still get unsolicited compliments and I had much rather have this Cayman than any 911. Please, the latter is an absolutely surpurb beautiful automobile.

I have owned my manual 2014 Porsche Cayman S for 7 years now and it's been an absolute gem throughout my entire ownership. Put an exhaust on it and it feels like a baby GT3. I'm excited to switch to the 2023 Nissan Z for some contrast, but I will definitely miss the old 981. 74k miles and counting until the new car arrives.

I bought an absolutely loaded Cayman S 4 years ago and absolutely love it. I thought about upgrading to a 911 turbo a couple of years ago but after a test drive I concluded that it was too much car for public roads. Also, the 911 was a bit large for my taste and my cayman was just as nice inside. I’ll never sell my cayman. Future classic

gonna park outdoor? common defects on the early 981 cayman door panel warp, microscratches in headlights and sagging headliner etc They are amazing to drive. I always forget how good was the 911.

I can appreciate the Targa does the sunny day thing well but aside from that, I feel like the two 911’s and now this all do a very similar job to one another. Do you not feel as if having this as your regular use Porsche and then turning the two 911’s into a GT3 or GT3RS would not be a better combo? Maybe it’s just me
