I am a lefty, and always have been.. My second grade teacher tried to change me but it didn't work... Now I'm glad it didn't.. I have always had great communication skills, and love to write. I am grateful that the attempted switching never took.. :)

exactly :) I'm left handed too and I took Honors English, and Geometry my freshman year, and now I'm going to be a sophomore and I'm taking AP U.S. History, Advanced Algebra, and Honors Composition this year, and I also made the next choir up. Lefty

Why any parent or teacher should wish a child who is spontaneously left-handed change hands is an utter mystery to me. The oppression begins with eating with utensils and then drawing and writing. It seems the 'right-handers' have a tendency to be oppressive. Want everyone to do as they do. It certainly cannot be due to the costs involved in investing in left-handed scissors.

I was born left handed but my pre school teacher made me learn how to write with my right hand and so I do different things with left and right

No you don't, It's hard being a leftie e.g lefties tend to look at the big picture and then divide it up and righties tend to look at the divided parts then look at the big picture, so when you have a rightie teacher and a leftie student, the student will go get all of the materials for the project and then divide them up where a rightie will just get the materials for the project as they go, when a teacher sees that your doing something they don't like they tend to criticize and be assholes.

I was left handed up to the age of 5. Then my left arm was broken and had to heal for a few months as I learned to write with my right hand. I'm not an ambidextrous writer, but I'm now right-handed, when I used to be left handed as a young child. So I'm a right hander with left-brain language skills.
