I caught that quickly. It embodied how Armin and Eren viewed the sea.


The sea is supposed to represent time. Eren is always looking at the endless horizon. Aka, the future. That he forgot to look at what is on his feet.


And Arming immediately looked at what he could find beneath his feet. And never even realized the horizon that lies ahead
