I have their X Max 3 and am loving it. For the dry box, I was able to purchase a Bowden tube and run it from the side to the back so I don't have to mount the spool of filament on the back anymore. This is super nice since the table I have it on is just big enough for this machine's monstrous frame.

Actually I have the X-Max 3 and the X-Smart 3. The board is based on the MKS Skipr. You can setup everything from scratch, there is even an actuall version of Armbian for the MKS Pi (which is integrated in the board). So you are not dependend on Qidi for any upgrades.

For me the most annoying part is Qidi using a thermocouple, not a thermistor on the hotend. I modified my hotend to use a Revo with High-flow nozzle, wich has about the same flow than the original hotend, but makes it much more easy to swap (without even recalibrating z-offset) to an ObXidian for abrasive filaments or to other nozzle diameters. However, due to no thermistor input on the printhead nor the main board, I added an old Creality board as 3th MCU just to get a thermistor input. Worked well on first try (and I am a beginner with Klipper).

A good video, but please stop yelling... makes it look like a lot of those immature hype videos -- could be just me, but... it matters to me, so I figured I'd give you that feedback.

Awesome video! Literally the first review of this brand that made me think it was worth a second thought. ❤

The narrative of your actual experience made it more interesting and genuine.

Nano Polymer Adhesive from Vision Miners. That lets me print for days without brims on ABS for most models, including a flexi dragon. Models that are ABS print friendly look really slick in ABS

Thanks for the great review. You mention that this is one of the best for engineering filaments ? Even better than the X1C next to it ?curious if Bambu is worth the extra $$$ if mostly printing ABS/ASA.

I had no problem with z filament sensor must be activated in the menu....i had no problems with the menu looking up. Hotend is connected strange to the motherboard not upgrade friendly

How far away from Bambu is the print quality on the Qidi?

I just got this printer and have yet to get a successful print. Im using their petg and default settings ao im wondering if im having the z offset problem. I cant even get a first layer to go down without messing up. How did you calibrate your z offset if not with their paper card? Thanks!

What kind of filament will I need with this printer to ensure my prints come out solid and sturdy? As in hard to break...

When you say that you wouldn't recommend the X-Plus-3 for PLA, do you mean that it doesn't work well for PLA or that its overkill for primarily PLA usage?

Have you seen their video about adding a camera to this model, and the other 3 series printers? I have the Max 3 and love it, but the filament runout sensor is not turned. on by default, you have to turn it on yourself.

It'll be very interesting to see if the upcoming Bambu X1E at 4x price that Qidi charges for these.

I have owned the X-Plus 3 for over six months (having previously owned the original X-Plus for several years). IMO, the X-Plus was a MUCH BETTER printer. Yes, the X-Plus 3 is faster. BFD. Half the parts off the X-Plus 3 are pure garbage. I mean absolute fails from attempts at simple parts with Qidi Tech supplied PLA. I wish I had kept my older model (given away as a gift). The X-Plus 3 also suffers from firmware issues. All in all, this machine has been nothing but frustration for me. It is a beta product that should have never been released for sale.
