Do You Think You Emphasize Calvinism and the Doctrines of Grace More Than the Bible Does?

I'm not a calvinist but why do christians opposes his understanding of the glory of God? I love how he always emphasize that we should find our satisfaction IN GOD! That's the most beautiful teaching i've ever heard. I may not agree of all his doctrine but God has been using him in my life, an i think with that -- God is glorified! ♥️

What was lacking from his answer was the phrase: “I try to preach so that even if my audience disagrees with the ‘doctrines of grace’ they will still hear the gospel and the heart of God and affirm the vast majority of what I have to say.”

Calvinism is never mentioned in the bible, but you can skew the scriptures to say what you want. I dated a Calvinist once and she said there is no point in missionary work or evangelism because if someone is elected then there is no point. Its very easy to make ridiculous conclusions with Calvinism because it is false doctrine.

No it is not an ambiguous statement. So you do not preach the word, but your ideas. Honest confession. Now what are you going to do about it. Word or your ideas? Again the Word or your ideas? You have confessed that the Word is not primary.

I'll tell you straight - you don't know but the Bible is clear - Calvinism IS NOT the Gospel - AND, you contradict your own Calvinism, by saying "and I would like everybody to be STUNNED by the magnificence and majesty of the glory of God, " - REALLY???!!!??? You want everyone - WHY???!!!??? If the elect and un-elect have no choice in the matter but to be - according to Calvinism - either saved or unsaved, based not on their CHOICE to believe - BUT, on God's decree, before the foundation of the world, as to who will be elect or un-elect. WAKE UP!!!

Calvinist rises up every few decades. Then goes away again. Calvinism is nothing more then a man’s personal feeling.

John Piper with his arbitrarily love of God is as much dangerous as Joel Osteens' emphasize on God's love. I read "Desiring God" many years ago. I did not know at that time that he is one of the most influential hyper Calvinist nowadays. What a hypocrisy to write "Desiring God" when you uphold that man is a determined to love God. He doesn't have genuine free will.

He says that God is passionate about "his glory, his name, and his fame". Often a bit abstract, and misinterpreted by the human mind. God is not an egomaniac, though it frequently comes across as if we are portraying him that way. It is often good if we can say "in other words..." what that means.
