I literally squealed at An Ellis Island Christmas. My mom came from Poland when she was 5 to Ellis Island just after Christmas. She was on the boat on Christmas. I have to get this for her! She's 76 years old now and just 3 years ago, she and her brother went to Ellis Island and saw their names. My uncle's name had been misspelled, crossed out, and rewritten. Such cool history. I can't wait to give this to her!!

My son loves Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales. He's 15 now, but he still gets them from the library periodically just to reread them.

My boys got a set of those hazardous tales books and LOVE them. They want them all. And one of my sons is super gifted in comic drawing and draws for hours each day. So he is SO drawn to those books. Super great books

You really found some treasures! The Inconvenient Alphabet sounds really fun! I have read a number of the Alexander McCall Smith mysteries for grown-ups, but I didn't even know he had a kids' series until Wendy's video.

Check out the history comics I'd you haven't. They are exciting but educational and easy for me to read I'm dyslexic too. Ps there is a horse one. They just came out with a science comic series too which I haven't read yet.
