Question no. 25
Proof:- angleD + angleB = 180° (the sum of opposite angle in a cyclic quad is 180°)

AngleD + AngleA = 180° (Co-int

From equation 1 and 2
AngleD + AngleB = AngleD + AngleA
AngleB = AngleA
Now,
In triangleDAB and triangleCBA
AngleADB = AngleBCA (angle in the same segment are equal)
AB = AB (Common)
AngleA = AngleB (proved)

Therefore, triangleDAB is congruent to triangleCBA
Therefore, AD = BC (C.P.C.T)
AC = BD (C.P.C.T)
Hence Proved

Homework Solution :-

OB=OC=OA=5cm
AB=AC=6cm
PERIMETER OF ∆ OAB =16 cm
SEMI PERIMETER = 8 cm
FINDING AREA OF ∆OAB BY HERON'S FORMULA
A = √ S (S-6)(S-5)(S-5)
= √ 8 (8-6)(8-5)(8-5)
= √ 8 2×3×3
= √ 16×9
= √ 144
A = 12 cm²
Now finding height
a =1/2 ×b×h
12= 1/2 ×5 ×h
24 = 5 h
h= 24/5
h = 4.8
now,
BC = 2h
BC = 2 × 4.8
BC = 9.6

14:22 Done using heron's formula as OA=Radius=5cm(9.6cm)
1/2×5×h=24 cm²(By heron's formula)
H=4.8cm=CM
4.8×2=9.6

Sir we can also solve this ques by finding the area of triangle OBA by using heron's formula nd then equating the answer with 1/2 ×b(AO)×h(BM)
We'll get h from here and the answer by 2×h

Q.4)
Finding area of triangle OAC using heron's formula and 1/2 base ×height
And let height (MC) Be (n)
Then we find value of MC
And BC=2n
i.e=9.6cm

Q25. proof-AB||DC (given)
and AC is transversal angle ACD =angle CAB
also DB is transversal so angle CDB=angleABD
And angleCAB =angleCDB( angles in a same segment )
therefore angleCAB=angleABD
Now,
in triangle DAB and Triangle CBA
AB=BA(common)
angle ADB=angle BCA(angle in the same segment)
angle CAB=angleABD(proved above)
-:triangle DAB=triangleCBA(AAS congruence condition)
by C.P.C.T AD=BC and AC = BD ( diagonals equal)

21:36 we can also prove that by the quadrilaterals theorum
if CD||AB
then CD=1/2AB

At this point 20:23 how CM is || to AB?? And how at 24:16 AM PERPENDICULAR TO AC

Sir, you did a small mistake at 20:47, which might confuse others. CM is not parallel to AB rather it is parallel to DN. i hope you got that!

Answer of home work ques
In triangle DAB and CBA
AB=AB (COMMON)
angleADB=angleBCA (Angle in same segment)
angleDAB=angleCBA (as angle D+A =180 ; C+B =180 (cointerior angles)and angle A+C=180 ; D+B=180 (opposite angles of cyclic llgm are supplementary ) from above angle A=B )
Above traingles are congruent by (AAS) hence AD=BC and AC=BD (By CPCT))
HENCE PROVED

20:35, CM || AB is not possible, it is perpendicular to AB

we can prove Q25 by AAS as
BCA=BDA
DBA=CAB
AB=AB, HENCE TRIANGLE dab=cab by CPCT you can prove it
