This piece of Tech Innovation is just AWESOME. Thanks to Peter! Yeah, It would be great if this one can be a Card READER. I just got mine not too long ago though I haven't done an Unboxing Video yet... 👍😁 Great Tech Video David as always!! CONGRATULATION for reaching 400+ Subscribers!! 🎉🎉

Great job on the video David! Thanks for making it.

You’re right. It would probably cost a lot more to add the readers. But, it wouldn’t cost them much to implement it, charge the extra and call it the ‘Tri Charge Pro’. Then consumers have the choice of the two

Congrats David on 400, 000 subscribers! 🎉🎉 So clever charger... Which eliminates the need for so many other gadgets... Excellent... Also could see using it on a plane to replace a power bank.. love gadgets invented by serious users... Thanks for sharing!

Got one for my Nikon as soon as it was available, it was even on a sale and it's one of the best parts of my kit. I just leave my batteries in it and I don't have to keep track of them. I usually carry a 120W phone charger in my camera bag so less cables to worry about and cards are always in one spot.

Congrats on the 402K subs! Well deserved...

BTW it will pull about 27 watts from your charge source, so best to have at least a 30 watt cube or other input. These things are great. Best card reader I've tested is the PGYTech one.

David - Congratulations on 400K .. that's HUGE! And love this battery holder, charger, card holder, powerbank pinch hitter thing! Probably need one now that I know it exists. Thanks Peter Lindgren for being brilliant.

awesome video, does the Canon version hold CF Express type b cards?

Suggestion for the next version. 2 is 1 as 1 is None.

On movies the 1st job of the DIT is to replicate the data onto at least two other cards.
Then the DIT stores the cards in multiple different places

2nd Suggetion provide a a space for a SSD to be fitted at a later date so it can be backed upto from the other cards.

3rd suggestion add space for a Raspberry Pi compute module. So that people can turn it into a NAS using open source tools. The Raspberry Pi compute module can use the USB-C port to communicate with extenal devices.

By making the SSD and compute model optional it keeps unit costs down whilst leveraging the huge NAS community who will quickly port over all the usual tools.

I’ve had one since it was released. Best purchase of that year and it’s top quality ! Also looks cool on my desk plus Peter is such a great guy and has such attention to detail and he took his time to perfect it. Awesome product.

Thoroughly enjoy mine and I actually showcased it in a recent "gear upgrade" video on my channel! Great job David!

one more feature a v2.0 NEEDS is a feature to fill up one battery with another one if they are both below 100%.
I would implement it as a toggleable feature, but i can imagine after filming with one battery, then switching to a fresh one while the first is at like 30%, then doing that again or whatever, it could be really useful to have the two partial charges put into a single battery. this would basically allow to always have a full battery, even without needing an additional powerbank.
And yes, i'm aware transferring charge has some losses so it's not always a feature that you want to use, but that's why i'd suggest having a toggle option, so that you can choose at any time if you prefer a full battery or saving overall charges
