Love it. Check dams have been in use seemingly forever, but you have described a simple way to describe them. I will be putting this idea to work right away.

Fantastic, are there native trees in Wyoming? Is there too much grazing pressure to have deciduous trees?

Why not add beavers? Add the vegetation necessary to support beavers and let them build the dams for free.

Pls, get few beavers from other places and restore back these lands. Beavers are natural organic environment animals. Eco-system check in balance
