That's part of it. Scientis in Canada placed speakers around places of water with sounds of running water. What thet found is the beavers cover the speakers to stop the sound of running water. On top of safety and a home Beavers did like the sound Of trickling / running water

does the sound n vibraton in water play a factor too. in order to detect predators which usually cause noise and vibration in water. they build their nest in the center so they can detect incoming presence.
