These AliExpress Motherboards are Cheap and Unique

After looking for a cheap 1155 motherboard with M.2 NVME support, I realised they probably didn't exist. Thankfully it was AliExpress to the rescue!

Yeah, they're in indonesia as well. An h61 can go as low as 22 usd, and a b75 for 23. Supposedly, from some youtube reviews they're legit m.2 nvme.

From 4th gen they had native nvme support in uefi even if the motherboard did not have a m.2 slot because back in the day a lot of nvme ssds were on pcie cards. So most motherboards from the era 4th gen and older will support nvme boot even if you have no m.2 slot you can always use a m.2 to pcie 4x adapter.
Motherboards with no nvme boot support will not allow boot from nvme but you can use it as any regular pcie storage. Or boot from it with external boot loader that will load the nvme drivers and direct the motherboard to boot from it.
Other option is modifying the bios, i have used custom bios to add nvme support on am3 motherboards that never came with nvme support.
These motherboard manufacturers are also modifying bios to allow nvme boot. And there should be no issues with it.
Use the cheapest nvme drives because these boards are pcie gen 2 anyways so you won't have any special benifits of using gen4 drives!
Nvme drives are cheaper than sata drives these days so it makes sense.

I modded my Z77 bios to boot from nvme storage a few years ago. Worked really well. Board is still in use as part of my inlaws' computer.

There's currently a package deal on AliX with a Xenon E5 2650 V4 (12c24t), 2x16GB DDR4 (max. 128GB), and a mobo with a tonne of PCI-e lanes (4 x16!), M.2 NVMe, plus lots of SATA 6GB, USB 3, 1Gb Lan, et cetera, and it's under £100! 😯
That's without VAT, of course, which I'd love to know if they actually _pay_ to the UK government or if they quietly pocket it!
But that's an awful lot of processing power and bandwidth for such a small outlay, and I've got to admit that I'm _seriously_ tempted. I don't game anymore, and the only possible upgrade to my system would be to swap my i5-3570k out for an i7-3770k and OC the nutz off that, but I could get that package deal for a bit more cash than that i7 with 4c8t costs.🤔

I bought that same motherboard. I can only put Sata m.2 in it. It’s held up pretty good for my i7 3770k. I’m about to upgrade from a gt 1030 4gb to a rx 6650 xt. The bios is relatively smooth

I have the similar motherboard. There are several (unpopular) motherboard brands using this motherboard. The color of PCB, heatsink, and RAM slot are different, but the layout is exactly the same. Although the M.2 NVMe SSD works, mine can't be used as boot drive. It also runs at PCIe 2.0 x4 which limits the bandwidth to around 1.5 GB/s. Still not bad and works okay with cheap M.2 NVMe SSD2. The other downside I found is the main PCIe limited to x8 instead of x16.
Overall, considering the cheap motherboard price for just £25, plus £10-15 for 2nd/3rd Gen Intel core i5 CPU, and £15 for 2x 8GB DDR3-1600 RAM, you basically have the main PC parts for £60 or less which still able to handle basic office task or low level gaming.

I repair my brother pc with one of them. Just 1 week after you upload the video. With an i7 2600 16GB of ram and a rx560 my brother is really Happy. With a spare 256GB M.2 i have.

I'm using this exact board right now and it's been terrific for the past 3 months. Glad I bought it. VERY fast with an NVME.

I recently purchased h61 mobo almost identical like this one for my nephew. Surprised how well it works out. It doesn't have a PWM fan controller though so it runs at max fanspeed all the time & loud.
