Oh god that PlayStation direct queue screen gave me Vietnam flashbacks to trying to get a ps5 for a year. In the end, I ended up getting one from Walmart 🤷‍♂️

Yeah I was in the same exact boat as you. Finally was able to checkout after almost an hour of trying to “add to cart” but so happy I secured the CE!

They probably did that to save money from third party distributors like Walmart, GameStop, etc. getting a percentage of sales. They just weren’t ready for it

You gotta love that from now to the end of time, any cool gaming item (whether it's a collector's edition, special accessory, or even a condole itself) will always be impossibly difficult to get hold of because of scalpers 🥰

This is reminiscent to what had happened with both No Way Home and The Batman; sale websites crashing due to high demand. In their cases, it was for ticket sales.

I don’t want to imagine what it would be like with other upcoming Marvel movies or products (e.g. the Wolverine game developed by Insomnia, Kang Dynasty or Secret Wars).
