@Alexandrawrable I am so happy for you!!! As a fan of Mandy's choreography, I can completely understand your enthusiam. Her routines are energetic and a nice break from traditional Zumba class. I am a Zumba instructor, but I love love love her style and technique. I am so glad you found Mandy... I'm sure glad I found her, too!

always love what udo! and what IS Zumba even anymore? They certainly teach u their 'formula' whenu take the Basic, II, Gold, Aqua Ztonic, but so many branch out and get creative with the 30% non-latin rhythms. When I took the workshop, our instructor did Prince, MJ(very popular) Rihanna, BEP and Pink! It was fabulous and I know I LOVE mixing in POP music, old skool, oldies, swing, jazz style, etc. so fun to share and see what all is going on out there!

I just started zumba. i wish i lived closer to your class but i am on the east side. 26 mile and 94. so i get the pleasure of danceing at home with you then doing my classes at my gym. Thanks for posting.

What kind of classes do you recommend looking for If I want to be doing routines like this, I thought that was what Zumba was but I like your music much better, any advice on what classes to look for?

@GRDanceFitness I am really wanting to change my Zumba class name to something else. I still LOVE latin music but I have strayed so far from the 'zumba formula.' it's just not fair to give ppl the wrong idea about Zumba when that's now what you (ME) are doing. I have had several ppl license at the workshop and be a little disappointed cuz it wasn't what they 'thought it was going to be.' I'm flattered tho. I always announce this is my 'spin' on Zhoombha...! ;-) Luv ur routines!

@Makeupwithlisa I highly recommend looking for Hip Hop Hustle (very dance-y like Zumba and a great cardio workout!) Les Mills Body ATtack (not as dance-y, all fitness but it is a power cardio and toning class - very fun and I have seen many Zumba instructors bringing BA moves into their classes so it works!) Cardio Hip Hop or aFUnk class. A lot of gyms may have something like Zumba, just not calling it that; in fact, Ive asked MY director to change the name of my class-I'm not straight Zumba

At the YMCA in Texas we call it Nightclub Cardio!!! Yes this is much better than Zumba!!!! I cringe when someone won't take my class because it isn't that 'Z' word. aarrgghh!! Thanks GRDanceFitness for having a GREAT name!
