Finland's parliament is set to vote on a bill granting border guards the power to turn back asylum seekers coming from Russia. It is expected to pass, as both the ruling right-wing coalition and many opposition lawmakers are backing it. The government has said the bill is vital to stop future arrivals, despite the law being at odds with Finland's international human rights commitments.

Finland isn't unsure about Russian intentions.

what deportation? It's not a deportation if they never had legal residency in Finland in the first place. All who want to enter Finland must go through passport control. Sneaking in via the garden is trespassing.

It’s not about their asylum, it’s about our security. Well spoken, Sir!

Not everyone knows this but it's not actually russians that are coming across the border but Africans and people from the middle east. They are doing the same thing as with Poland Belarus border. The Finnish border guards should absolutely have the power to turn them back

That British woman should never get a say in what Finland does with its own borders. Finland should allow other nations dictate their own immigration laws and punishments. Taking a hard line stance against Russia is something that Moscow will understand and respect. After all, the Russian always play hardball and it is about time the EU do the same.

When it comes to Russia Finland coud not care less about international laws or EU laws.

We will do what is needed to defend the border. We don't ask EU or US what to do. We know what to do. Be silent and let us take care of it.

Finland has the best education system in the world and is one of the few European nations that has the common sense to understand that Russia is weaponising migration. European intelligence agents know Russia is aiding those people and sending them to destabilise Europe, hence why they are always military aged males and not families with kids. The fact that Russia denies it means nothing.
Finland needs to protect it's nation and people.

Does anyone understand why any asylum seekers wouldn't do everything to stay in Russia? We all know that Russia is the best country to live in, ask any Putin-fan!
