A sunny and showery afternoon across the UK. The showers will be more frequent in the northwest of the country, where some exposed coastal areas can also expect strong gusty winds. Close to average temperatures in the southern half of the country, with rain clearing later today. Further north will feel fresher, with showers dissipating overnight. We could do with some actual rain here in the east of England - my garden is absolutely parched. Looks like its all falling in the highlands and islands. Not seen a thunderstorm all year either - I’m sure they used to be more common. 🤔
