My Oma always likes to tell me stories about my mom when she was a little girl. She would sing this to her to get her to sleep all the time. When my mom was in the hospital in the last days of her life, my Oma said to her “Kathi you better get better or I’ll start singing ‘you are my sunshine my only sunshine’”. She’s always had a talent for being able to have a laugh even when things were hard. This song makes me think of my mom, and how much I know it’s gonna suck when my grandma passes away. I miss you mom 💔 I hope you’re kicking it with God and all the angels and saints in heaven
