Is there a device that can just shave it all off? The mm like for ex: if you set it to 3 mm you want the hair down from whatever length it is to be 3 mm below whatever length it is? Or does it mean you would take 3 mm of the hair off when you set it to the 3 mm setting?

Also with the 4 mm setting it would mean from whatever length your hair it/was before you started cutting it with the device, that when you start cutting it with the device you get 4 mm of hair off what hair you cut?
