Math Talks vs Number Talks…what’s the difference?

Math talks and Number talks are both short math activities that practice mental math skills.

The difference is that a number talk focuses on solving numerical expressions.

A Math Talk is an umbrella term I use to refer to number talks and also visual math talks (like How Many? or Which One Doesn’t Belong?)

Another common term is “Math Routine.”

They are all awesome and all basically mean the same thing!
