I also thought that so many choices in the movie made zero sense, and it upset me that the characters completely lost all personality from book to movie. although the most upsetting thing for me was probably the way they depicted the watchers in the movie and the thing they changed - why did they have to do that??

This is a great series. I always love to see how books are adapted into different media. Would you be willing to do tv and theater as well? And even songs inspired by books? Perhaps paintings and visual art too? (Obviously as funds and time allow)

I'd absolutely love more of these kinds of videos :) I loved the book but was on the fence about watching the adaptation so I think I won't rush to see it. Also interesting that in the UK/Ireland the film is titled The Watched not The Watchers. I wonder what the thoughts behind that decision was...

Good idea for a series. Will you be doing "The cabin at the end of the world" comparison too than? I was so disappointed with the adaptation.

I see no reason to change the nationality of the main character. We Americans watch all Irish movies (Banshees of Inisherin for example) all the time! And British ones, too. (We're absolutely nuts over Midsomer Murders! lol) Sometimes I wonder if the filmmaker just has a specific actor/actress in mind and then writes the script to fit them, rather than to find an actor/actress to fit the part. Yes, do more of these videos!

Very good start of a series :) have you thought of comparin The Ritual (2017 movie) with the book? I loved the movie (watched it a couple of times in fact) but never got down to readin the book -- maybe you could tell me if it's even better! :) cheers!
