Does China really want a trade deal with US?

China wants a deal but if a deal will hurt China just as much as tariffs then what's the point. Right now China has an option on to deal with tariffs or to perform the following


1. Buy Trillions more American goods
2. End company subsidization
3. address intellectual property
4. And allow Trump to not remove tariffs when a deal is reached but only when his team of China hawks deems its ok to "Remove tariffs".



If you're China which option is worst? I say making a deal might be worst. Trump actually doesn't want a deal, that's why he's pricing himself out of one. He just wants his supporters to think he is "Trying" so he can win an election.
