Jedi Survivor PC Performance Issues? Try THIS!

Pc performance problems for Star wars Jedi survivor have been disappointing to say the least. Well it's EA, so it's kind of expected actually. Here I have a bit of a solution that might make your performance not as stutter-y.

Ok I don't know what corner of Youtube did you crawl from, and how I got this vid randomly proposed - but this works ! No immediate magic fix, still won't go above 30 FPS in general, but the smoothness appeared in fact ! No stutters, no spikes, no screen freezes. I didn't believe this is possible ! Crashed for days after the last patch from May 10th and was already giving up on progressing the story any further - all I gained got reset each time I crashed and went back to last save. Thank you for taking time to record this instruction !

i can't tell you how much i love you. i have a 2070 max q and an i7 10th gen and my frames were somewhere between 20-40 on lowest settings but with this i'm at 55-70 fps. the game doesn't stutter and is playable thanks

Jesus, i just love you right now, the game just turned playable for the first time, like, i already got 10 hours on the game, and the last one hour was the best play time i already had on this game! FPS still drop from 60 to 30 randomily, but i can handle some low fps without the sttutering!

For me, the weird thing is that at launch, this game actually ran pretty well for me on high settings. Epic, a little less so but still playable. It was only after the updates that that I started having performance issues. So bizarre and frustrating.

OMG, this actually worked. I gained about 10 fps at the stables outside of the saloon and after upping the game to epic quality, I gained a few more fps lol. Don't know what this trick did but it looks like it also forces v sync to be on so it also reduced my screen tearing. My game runs so freaking smooth now. Holy cow dude. I'm so freaking happy right now. Why can't the devs just do this?

I am getting 58 fps on epic quality with medium shadows at the stables with an rtx 3080 and a ryuzen 7 3700x and 32 gigs of ram. I've noticed that my ram usage has shot up to 20 gigs after applying this fix though.

Oh man, thanks a lot. I love the franchise but when i started to play this game i got so sad about the optimization. I was about to give it up and let it go and no play. I dindt have problem with FPS but exactly wiht stuttering, i was gettin nauseated. It was very helpful

Can confirm this helps a bit in 2024. By using this trick, keeping all settings low and installing the "May the Performance Be With You" Mod, I am getting a fairly smooth game with maybe a very minor microstutter every 5 minutes on Coruscant. Hope this holds up for the rest of the game. FPS is still cranky, but not unmanageable if there are no stutters.

As a Souls fan, I am pissed that we finally get a Soulslike Star Wars franchise but it had to be fucking EA. Fuck EA.
