I did it without a public adjuster. Maxed out my property claim at 155k, made my list myself using the contents collaboration website.

People only hire a PA ahen the insurance company is trying to either deny or under pay the claim
Which is quite often. They don't make money by paying claims, but by NOT PAYING CLAIMS either by direct denial or drastically under paying
I don't get calls from people who think the estimate is fair. And if the company adjuster is competent and honest the estimste is usually fair
It is when the " THREE DAY WONDERS" a not so honest or competent adjuster shows up, thats when I get a call ususlly from a contractor

My Public adjuster sucks. Yea. They are licensed. That said, they are sitting on their collective bottom sides and collecting 10% of ALL insurance money. Like leeches, they are hard to get rid of.

Should I hire just before I sign on a contractor?

The insurance folks have already got the Insured to screw up the claim. The offer by the Carrier is Never Good or Reasonable. Delay Deny and Defend read the book Bro.

Option 2, is an option but not a good one, It could cost the insured money in their settlement ... So hire a public adjuster after the carrier potentially sent all of their vendors (whom btw are looking out for the best interest of the carrier in order to stay on that list! ) out that get paid to clean and dry everything that should have been otherwise been replaced ? Yea... that makes no sense ...smh

Is it right for a public adjuster to charge 35% of our belongings even though They’re not giving us any extra money for belongings.
