An introduction to Advaita Vedanta using simple language.
This is part of the Vedanta Channel's Advaita Vedanta Shorts series of short videos, which explain key concepts from Advaita Vedanta.

*********************
I make videos on Advaita Vedanta. I am dedicated to bringing you the highest quality, thought-provoking content from Advaita Vedanta. I take the best from my readings, listening and viewing on Vedanta and put them into short videos, which I hope will enrich your life.

Please show your appreciation of these efforts by liking the videos, commenting on them and subscribing to the Vedanta Channel.

Vedanta is one of the oldest philosophies in the world. It is not a mere academic exposition on the nature of Reality. It is a way of life, whose context is examined in the light of the relationship of the Self (Atman) to Everything (Brahman). Its aim is no less than to solve the existential problems of life by transcending human limitations, and to look beyond suffering towards fulfilment and deliverance.

If you are looking to transform your life through a deeper understanding of Advaita Vedanta, please subscribe to The Vedanta Channel.

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.

This is the true sanatan dharm but people are stuck in devi devta and worship them but in reality there is nothing to be worshipped .Only to be realized what is already present inside each person.

As I get older and this body changes I am aware that I am the same person that has always been. When I was a child then in adolescents then as a young adult and now as an older adult I am the one and the same that has always been without change although the body has changed dramatically. I also can tell that everything exists within this consciousness and there is nothing that can exist outside of this consciousness and yet I can also tell that I am not in control of anything. It is all within me and yet I am not apart of it but rather I am just a witness to it all. If I put the pieces together I am the unchanging invisible silent witness to the entire field of reality beginning with the thoughts of the mind and extended out to everything I see. And yet the world seems oblivious to this inner reality and everyone seems to be caught up in a delusion like they are under a spell running here and there thinking they are doing something when all anyone is doing is running on a spinning wheel and we are all going around and around as if we are stuck in a loop of repeating patterns. This is what I can see but I do not know what to make of any of it.

Namaste

Just like Cataract born of our own tissues blocks our vision, Maya which arises out of Divinity blocks the realization that there is only One

Thanks for the great video.

I have a follow up. Why is this the highest goal for us? Why should this be considered the purpose of one’s life?
