Advaita Vedanta - Non Duality Explained

Advait Vedant is a school of Hindu philosophy that teaches non-duality or the absence of a separation between the subject and object. This philosophy is based on the Upanishads and commentaries by eminent scholars like Gaudapada and Sri Adi Shankaracharya. Dvaita means duality, while Advait means non-duality. In simpler terms, Advait means the absence of separation between the subject and object. We experience duality in our everyday lives but in deep sleep only nonduality.

Yes as a Buddhist, Advaita Vedanta makes sense. Once we lose our identity with the body, mind, ego and ultimately self, which is also what Buddha taught, we realise that all are one. The oneness of everything is what all these sages, rishis and enlightened beings realised.

"Studying Advaita Vedanta has completely transformed my understanding of spirituality and the nature of reality. The teachings of Advaita emphasize that we are all fundamentally one consciousness, and that our sense of individuality is an illusion. This insight has brought me so much peace and freedom, as I no longer feel like I am separate from the world around me. I highly recommend exploring this philosophy, whether through reading, attending satsangs, or watching talks by teachers like Acharya Prashant. It has the potential to change your life in the most profound way."

It's like a waves in an ocean.
For each waves they are different mass of water, but in reality they are one same ocean.
Similarly, we don't have different souls. Every souls are one same parmatama (my creed peoples refers parmatama as "Avdhoot").

Yes, the dying body and the changeful mind do not last long. The individual is very limited and small. The consciousness that witnesses the life of all forms is what remains always. ❤

"यः तु सर्वाणि भूतानि आत्मनि एव अनुपश्यति सर्व-भूतेषु च आत्मानम् ततः न वि-जुगुप्सते ।"
But he who sees everywhere the Self in all existences and all existences in the Self, shrinks not thereafter from aught.

Yes, well presented!! Shankara was the best proponent of Advait Vedant. World is only a superimposition on the existing reality of Brahman.

Sorry, but there is no need to add background music to the commentary. It is distracting and makes listener harder to concentrate on the narrative. Even if you think it is adding some positivity , at lease keep the volume low. Thank you.

Namaste
The Rig Veda has 10, 552 mantras grouped into 1028 suktas or hymns each having roughly ten mantras.
The suktas are further grouped into 10 mandalas.
Rig veda has only Rik mantras which have a metrical structure. Of these 2456 mantras are in the well known Gayatri meter ( The popular Gayatri mantra is also in this meter).
As per Shri Aurobindo Ghosh, Rik is the mantra of divine consciousness. Its brings its light of revelation.
There are around 400 rishis in the rig veda of whom atleast 25 are women.
The Yajur Veda primarily consists of Yajus mantras which are rhythmic phrases not set to any particular meter ( Unlike Rig Veda)
The popular Taittiriya Samhita of Krishna Yajur Veda has around 4773 mantras, of which around 2/3 rd are yajus mantras ( rest are Riks)
The Yajur Veda deals with Yajna or rituals to appease devatas
The Sama Veda consists of Riks with the added dimension of music.
The Atharva veda has 5987 mantras grouped into 730 suktas and 20 Kandas ( Chapters)
Most of the mantras were revealed to the lineage of Rishis Atharva and Angirasa.
It contains knowledge of healing, construction (Vastu) and societal conduct amongst others
Thanks.
