Question 2 ? There is something called Gestaltzerfall it's as close to dyslexia as I could point to and it effects neuro typical people all the same. So I have a hunch that dyslexia my be a sleep disorder and lack of sleep triggers such a phenomenon. Could that gene actually be a sleep disorder gene and why can dislexia be triggered in normal people?!

my dad has it, and I had, but got over it as a kid. decided to check to see, looking into the future, if my kids could inherit it. guess they might be screwed.

My uncle and great uncle have it and so do I but my twin doesn't

I’ve got a question... so no one in my family is Dyslexic, and it’s unlikely that if any one was Dyslexic, then they’d of been missed (my family used to wealthy so they’d of had the resources and even then, we’d have some sort of record of it). The closest person in my family who “used to be Dyslexic” (or so he says) isn’t even a blood relative. My friend has the same issue, we both feel extremely confused, I’ve done a lot of digging into it, my mum thinks that it’s the combination of some genes, but...

I have it, I got it from my mom, and she got it from her mom, we don't know who she got it from.
