He needs to remove all his money from the bank and go elsewhere. There’s a million and one things the bank could have done to confirm his identity.

So, how much money will the bank pay for almost getting their customer killed, handcuffed and stuffed in the back of a police car? To have your complete freedom taken away at the threat of deadly force is extremely horrifying, degrading and humiliating, even if it were only for a few minutes.

Never heard of someone robbing a specific account with there ID. Glad he and the bank worked it out.

Notice how the officer went for the gun with Coogler having his back turned. Not the taser, not the pepper spray, the GUN. Pretty much tells you how this Police Department approaches their problems.

Banks are having a serious image problem when it comes to going after black customers. I thought this was Chase bank yet again, but I guess Bank of America is at it this time.

I understand his concern about being discreet, withdrawing a large amount of money, and being concerned with nearby people seeing, listening, and watching. When I took out 10k of my own money to put a down payment on purchasing my home, the teller at my bank was less than discreet and started counting so loud that it made me uneasy and scared for my life.

I have yet to hear of a bank robber giving a note, putting their card in with the PIN number, and giving them a photo ID to verify themselves to rob a bank.

I mean come on! Where is the logic here???

If I’m understanding this correctly, he gave them his ID and account information to withdraw money, which is literally how bank transactions occur, and they called the police?? ….wtf?

I'm sure the lazy azzed manager had ALOT to do with this situation. This could have been prevented. I worked as a bank manager during a real attempted robbery in the 90's and when the teller told me of the amount requested ($100, 000) and that the guy didn't have ID or his account number, I told her to I was going to assist him. I sent both tellers to the vault to "count the money"/ lock the door. After talking to the guy in a friendly manner for a minute I told him I was getting my key from the office for the big vault where I locked the door and dialed 911. No one hurt, the situation was real and the idiot got arrested. The manager is at fault here.

He was taking out 12k and asked if the lady could be discreet, she did the EXACT opposite. This lady had "hold my beer" energy. Yes I can acknowledge, it probably wasn't of malicious intent, but dang, that 12k made national news...

The bank is safe therefore the caller should be charged

People talk shit til it happens to them..He was trying to be safe by writing it down because tellers usually talk out loud. And that’s really dangerous because lots of robberies come from inside the bank. Suppose they came in shooting? Thank God it wasn’t some trigger happy cops. They need to pay but he probably won’t even bother..

Bank robbers don't hand tellers notes with their account info on it. They don't request that the money be taken out of the account at that bank and to be counted discreetly. They typically make an offer you can't refuse... money or your life. Also... bank robbers don't wait patiently... they're usually in a bit of a rush. Also... bank robbers don't supply you with their bank card and pin for the transaction of withdrawing money from their own account. Bank Robbers don't let you walkaway from the window to go in the back room and speak to your (likely racist) boss.

Now as a cop... how do you walk into a bank where you're told that only ONE GUY is trying to rob them and you see the guy and he is clearly UNARMED with his back to you and he's waiting like a regular customer not a robber and you still draw your weapon as if you're in danger!?

I can guarantee you that the woman who reported the robbery is a blkimmigrant. FBA know how to read English and can interpret when a robbery is taking place.. BY USING COMMON SENSE!!!
