So Saitama's power isn't infinite, it just continuously grows. That means that if someone were to try to kill Saitama, they would have to be so much stronger than Saitama that they could take him out in one punch. Otherwise, the fight would drag out and Saitama would get exponentially stronger, so much so, that he would out-stat his opponent and simply blink his eyes at them to kill them.

If you think about it, the only time garou was on saitama’s lvl is when he copied him.

You're right, his strength is not infinite. *But it is limitless.* Having no limit on something does not mean you can have an infinite amount of that thing, but rather you can always get more.

I wonder why no one ever thought of that. He just kept pushing himself to the limit until he had attained limitless powers. It's not about how many push-ups you do, but until you can't anymore. maybe it also works with strong emotions, which is why many protagonists become so strong.

He leveled up just how everyone else can in opm he’s just had the most will to do it the longest and has been the luckiest to keep getting stronger.
You have to survive near death/suffer physically and mentally. Garou was doing it for 2 days and his limiter started to break, Saitama trained for over a year until he went bald and he had been fighting monsters as a hobby the whole time getting in hard battles shown in the king flash back.

Basically Saitama's power can be sumed up as "no matter what bs you throw at him, he'll throw it back at you squared". He just keep endlessly learning

Limiter is a concept that sets all the limits like human, monster limitation or even Gods limit. Well Saitama remove it so he is basically limitless, the only one who can observe his strength is he himself just like what happened in the fight with Garou.

The god fight if we ever get to this will really be something to witness

Basically it's this

Power = not limitless
Room for additional power = practically limitless.

Bro is like in an RPG where he can just upgrade his stats if he ever feels lacking.

I thought this was already the general consensus, in one of the earlier chapters he has stated that he can defeat himself from yesterday, implying that he had limitless potential for growth but not infinite strength

Garou was constantly copying his power but was being increasingly outclassed. This means that the rate at which Saitama grows isn't fixed but can increase exponentially if he feels like it and in a matter of microseconds or even faster given that his power according to Garou was increasing with each punch and they were punching each other at greater than light speed.

Basically, anyone who doesn't overpower him by so much that he can one-shot kill Saitama will be beaten because Saitama would immediately scale up and surpass whoever he's fighting.

removing your limiter means you have infinite potential to increase your power, so saitama can increase his speed power dur and other stats with no limits, he just has to get pushed to increase the speed of his growth like doomsday and hulk.

the limit of an exponential graph is unbounded, which means it can grow indefinitely.

- Saitama is stated to be able to always oneshot himself of the previous day. which is consistent with him growing without bound/having no limit.Know one understands how Broken this makes Saitama, more than he already is. Let’s remember during the saitama vs Boros, Saitama was able to take a kick to the moon and punch away a planet destroying laser beam with little effort. Judging by this audiobook then that would mean the Saitama from the next day after the fight is able to One Punch the Saitama that fought Boros with no effort.

So everyday saitama get so Strong that he can One Punch a version of himself that was able to do all those other feats with no effort. That’s just crazy to me

God imagine if saitama let silver fang teach him martial arts.

I'm guessing his potential is seemingly limitless.
He will keep on improving if somebody gets close to him.

Great video, although I think Saitamas power is more complicated than just being “way way way stronger than everyone else”

If y’all remember, the panel when Saitama traveled back in time and punched Garou, it said Saitamas punch was “abnormally powered up” because of the future fight he had with Garou. Therefore Saitamas power kept “growing” while fighting Garou, kind of like Broly but in a WAY larger scale. Even then, I think more so Saitama is as strong as he needs to be in order to completely decimate his opponent. He also does things like kicking portals, breaking into pocket dimensions, and traveling back in time. How does he do that if his power is just “super strong and super fast”?

I think Saitama is the embodiment and personification of plot armor, the embodiment and personification of victory, and as Garou put it in the webcomic “It’s like he’s made up of the worlds unfairness, as if he’s the personification of Justice”. Remember that the world of One Punch Man is a world where people turn into monsters from having an extreme obsession or evil in their hearts for something, whether that feeling is physical, mental or both. I think Saitama was so obsessed with becoming stronger/TheStrongest, that his body and mind “monsterfied” or transformed in a way where he is just always supposed to be the strongest no matter what. Saitama is SUPPOSED to be (not just because he trained super hard and he’s stronger than everyone else now) the epitome of victory and being overpowered. He’s the unfairness monster, the incalculable power monster, the unbeatable monster. Saitama is everything that embodies unfairness, overshadowing strength, and at the end of the day, winning.

P.S. You should obviously take this with a grain of salt because it’s technically not a “canon” source but related nonetheless, to further strengthen my hypothesis on where Saitamas power comes from, the last line of the One Punch Man s1 opening is Saitama’s whole mindset “I WANNA BE THE STRONGEST HERO!”

I.E. Saitama wants to be the strongest hero so bad, that he monsterfied his mind body and soul into a monster that is ALWAYS the strongest, no matter what

I saw it as... He does have limitless power but held back against Cosmic cuz he wasn't supposed to kill him.
And holds back even in serious punch as not to mess up his surroundings.
Like Superman living in a world made of cardboard

I’ve always had a hypothesis that any movement Saitama does adds to his power level. Like if he used 1% of his current power, his power goes from 100% to 101%. So when he had to fight an opponent like Garou, he had to use 100% of his full power which would’ve instantly doubled it permanently, then that double strength gets doubled again on the next 100% power use hence the exponential growth. I would say it’s like normal working out but with 100% efficiency and an infinite power cap. So every step Saitama takes he gets “one step stronger” or every Serious Punch thrown he gets “One Serious Punch” stronger.

Saitama potential is so high and forever and doest stop growing and seeing that fight with cosmic garou

I understand but i still think his strength is limitless.

Not only his strength but his speed, durability stamina etc
