A very cold, wet, windy but enjoyable afternoon spent at York on the East Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from VTEC, Northern Rail, First Transpennine Express and a couple of distant freight trains.

During my stay here I was able to capture any Grand Central services working, although when I got the 14:02 service to Doncaster a Grand Central HST pulled up along side me working a service to London Kings Cross.

My next station is Doncaster which is only 1 part, I did say at the end of this video that I would be filming it in two parts but sadly it was a very quiet day on the train front.

Thank you all very much for watching it is greatly appreciated. As ever if you have any trackside locations or stations that you would like to see filmed at then please do let me know and I shall endeavor to do my best to getting around to doing them for you.

You can now find me on Facebook through the group Tornado922, there you will find regular updates, photos and videos from all of my goings on throughout 2016.

York announcement "The Tornado at Platform 6 is now departing on the Trans Pennine Express service to Newcastle. If he doesn't, I'm coming down to kick his cheeky backside up and down the platform" Excellent video again

The Blackpool North train with the friendly driver stops at my old home town of Accrington. Whatever you do, if anyone requests you to film on this station. Refuse! It's a total dive haha. Although the run that this train takes is a limited stop run, and is worth while, as you are treated to The Copy Pit, which is lovely scenery. Also, Hebden Bridge is a attractive station, and you get to visit Preston Station too. Oh and Leeds. :)

Great video as per usual.
Question for you.
In your opinion the 158s / 159s
Do you think they should be possibly put into retirement and replaced with voyagers or some other dmu
I usually get them to Exeter from Waterloo twice a month and they just seem outdated.

Tell me from your experience, do those 225 sets all point in the same direction, as seen with the 82 facing London and 91 the other way?
