German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Sunday he was "deeply convinced" Russia would not win in its war against Ukraine.

During an address marking Victory in Europe Day, Scholz spoke about Germany’s efforts to support Ukraine since the invasion, which has included sending heavy weapons to the country.

“We support Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor,” he said.

“Not doing so would mean capitulating to sheer violence – and empowering the aggressor.”

The chancellor expressed understanding over some Germans’ concerns that the war could spread further west, but said while their fears were valid, “fear must not paralyze us.”

“I’m deeply convinced: (Russian President Vladimir) Putin will not win this war. Ukraine will survive,” he said.

“Freedom and security will prevail -- just as freedom and security triumphed over lack of freedom, violence and dictatorship 77 years ago.”

We are in the end days that the Bible speaks of. Please make sure you are right with God through His Son Jesus Christ. Go to Jesus with a humble heart, repent and put your trust in him as your Lord and Savior.
