Hi guys! This song is a little older but it's one we think a lot of you will recognize. We were asked by a sweet couple to arrange this for their wedding a few years ago, and the wedding ended up being postponed over and over again due to Covid.😩 They were finally able to have their beautiful wedding recently and we played this as the bride walked down the aisle. We liked it so much we decided to record it! Hope you guys like it too. (Dedicated to K & R 😍)

BROOKLYN DUO BIO:

Founded in 2014, Brooklyn Duo has quickly established itself as one of today’s most successful classical crossover ensembles. Through its creative arrangements and live video performances, the piano and cello duo has garnered a huge following, with over 1.2 million YouTube subscribers and over 150 million streams annually on platforms such as Spotify and Pandora Radio.

In 2014, the couple arranged and recorded two pop covers and released them on YouTube. Shakira noticed the duo’s cover and promoted it to her 130 million-plus fan base, saying: “We're loving Brooklyn Duo's piano/cello cover of Empire! Great work guys." Today, Marnie and Patrick have released over 100 videos on their Brooklyn Duo YouTube channel and 10 albums of covers, spanning artists from The Beatles to Metallica to Ariana Grande. They also have a second YouTube channel, "Brooklyn Classical", which aims to introduce classical music to a larger audience through high quality, live video performances. Brooklyn Classical often hosts high-profile guest artists, including the world-renowned Dover and Escher string quartets, percussionist Ivan Trevino and cellist Cicely Parnas.

Popular classical music stations Classic FM and WQXR regularly share Brooklyn Duo’s music on their social media pages, with Classic FM calling the duo “masters of the artfully planned pop cover.” Their music has also been featured on several television shows, including Grey's Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist and America's Got Talent.

This was my husband and I’s first dance song at our wedding, we had been together for 9 years and this was the first song he ever sent me back when we were like 19. This rendition brought tears to my eyes, just lovely!! 🥺

Brooklyn Duo, you are not musicians but magicians! You take us on a ride into the beautiful world of music with your spellbinding performance. I can feel the emotions in the song and you justify the lyrics so much, K & R are so lucky to see you performing live. The way you looked into each others eyes and smile throughout the whole performance is the highlight of this video, brought tears to my eyes (with a smile on my face as well) Love, love, love it !
